About Me..me..me..

Ok, I think I've been tagged about a half dozen times for this, so there's no fighting it any longer. (And you taggers know who you are - don't think I'll forget this easily.) ;)

The gist is that I'm supposed to post 8 random facts about myself and then tag 8 others to do the same, but since everyone I know has already been tagged while I was away, I guess I'll just leave it at this.

So, let's see....

1. I've tried to resign from my current job four times now and they keep pulling me back. I just turned in my resignation again last week, and they talked me into staying on part-time through at least the end of October.

2. I took modern jazz, ballet, folk and tap dancing classes for years and still can't dance.

3. I've broken 12 bones from the waist down due to my lack of coordination. (see #2)

4. I love balding men with big noses - I think they're sexy.

5. When I was a teenager, I had a chance to run away with a carnival to work as a caricature artist. Now I wish I had taken it.

6. I currently have almost no furniture but am living with boxes and boxes of books for which I need to buy shelves. (got to have your priorities)

7. I'm having a really tough time coming up with these.

8. I'm glad this list is over.

Ok, so I cheated on the last two. Give me a break - I'm tired, still not unpacked from the move, and still trying to quit my job. I'm just a little burnt out these days, but it's good to be back online, even if for limited amounts of time. :)

Wow, 12 bones? You've got me beat by six. Lana tried to quit her last job a couple of times before she finally managed to get away, so there's hope yet.

I just got tagged with this one. I think I'm up to five....

And I have to echo Charles, 12 bones? I thought I was bad with 3.

Glad you're up to blog-posting again. We have some things in common: My priorities on books/bookcases versus other stuff are the same as yours (to the despair of various family members who can't understand why I need to have all those books). I took dance classes for only a couple of years as a young child, and definitely can't dance (except on rare occasions of being drunk, at which time I only *thought* I could dance--I am profoundly grateful no one had a video camera around at those times).

What's with this outfit you work for?

None of those broken bones were a *result* of you trying to leave, were they?

For some reason, I'm picturing Al Pacino with a ballpeen hammer...

I've never broken anything. I tend to get head injuries. Explains a lot, doesn't it?

It's probably a good thing you didn't run off with the carnival. My sister's friend ran away with the circus and didn't have a very nice time. Apparently, there is a limit to how much horse poop one can shovel before the novelty of doing it under a tent wears off.

Boxes of books you say? I can rest easy in a home full of books.

Man, I'd be kicking myself over passing up that circus gig.

Never had a broken bone before, thankgog. Although I should have many times during my childhood. I was an avid tree climber and fort builder those days, among being a BMX racer. Somehow I got away unscathered. Perhaps I'm....well, more than human...
Oh, by the way, I'm balding, slightly, and some say I've got a big nose. My wife thinks I'm sexy too..

You know, I wasn't able to get on here to comment for so long, and once I finally could, I had moved on to other blogs!

So, just a quick "thanks" to you all. Great stuff.
