Wow, I'm crushed...

I thought for sure I was a little geekier than "low rank computer geek." According to the rest of the result, I'm geeky, but low in the nerd social order. I'm hurt.

I recently had an argument about geekiness. I think the term needs to be saved from dealing exclusively with technology. I insist it refer to an obsessive fascination with something out of the mainstream. Like comic books.

Thank you, Stewart. Good point. And I would add to the list: Harry Potter (to the point that it goes beyond the mainstream--yes, that is my entire collection of action figures, snowglobes, robes, sorting hat, wand and spreadsheet of all the HP discussion groups I belong to - wanna make something of it? :), Firefly, Stargate SG1, RenFaires, and heated arguments with nerds about what constitutes geekiness. :)
