Who Are You?

Yeah, so I have nothing better to do with my time. According to the "Are you a a Nerd, Geek or Dork?" test I got from Steve (I'm a big-time dork, but we already knew that) and this test, "What Book are You?", from Natasha, aka Spyscribbler, I've spent a productive evening learning more about myself. ;)

Go ahead, try it. Don't be shy. You know you want to.

You're Ulysses!

by James Joyce

Most people are convinced that you don't make any sense, but compared to what else you could say, what you're saying now makes tons of sense. What people do understand about you is your vulgarity, which has convinced people that you are at once brilliant and repugnant. Meanwhile you are content to wander around aimlessly, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. What you see is vast, almost limitless, and brings you additional fame. When no one is looking, you dream of being a Greek folk hero.

Actually, with the exception of that Greek folk hero thing and the fame bit, I'd have to say this was right on the money.

So.... what book are you?

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

It says that I'm "Animal Farm." I don't trust pigs. That's certainly true enough.

Cows are suspect, too, Charles. :)

Heh heh. Cute. I came out to be Ulysses, too, the first time, then went back and retook the test. I discovered that the test form brings up different questions every time except the first question is always "Are you long-winded or concise?" Anyway, I discovered that not only am I Ulysses, I also am Watership Down, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Theory of Justice, Mrs. Dalloway, The Grapes of Wrath,...

I admit, I answered some of the questions opposite from my first impulse, just to see what would happen!

Anyway, it's a fun way to spend a few minutes. Plus I tried some of the other quizzes on the Blue Pyramid website. I discovered on the Country quiz that I'm The United Nations.

Haaaaahaaaa, Emory and I were reading this together and got a pretty good laugh. He thinks I should take the test and see what book I am. This is so funny.

Sphinx, I did take it again, and changed one of the answers that I'd been on the fence about - then it came out as "Mists of Avalon". Said I have a thing for women, lol. Hmm... :\

Go ahead Christina - I dare you. :)

Hey Susan - good to see you back!

I'm "Watership Down." I said it on Spy's site, but I feel it's worth repeating here (and everywhere else anyone will listen), it says I'm possibly one of the greatest people of all time. I'm gonna go throw myself a parade.

Woohoo, Avery!

I was going throw confetti, but thought better of it... I'm the hunched over person at the back of the parade sweeping up the mess.

You should put that on your resume, you really should. :)

You're Siddhartha!
by Hermann Hesse

You simply don't know what to believe, but you're willing to try anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you've spent some time in every camp. But you still don't have any idea what camp you belong in. This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely. It's time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in ferries.

I don't feel lonely, but otherwise not inaccurate. Oddly, I *was* quite the Hesse fan in my wayward youth. I that was mostly because he seemed to justify those 'wayward' bits...
